Upholstery cost ? - 02/27/15 03:45 PM

I was able to find a "mobile" upholstery guy to some out to the house and install headliner, vinyl top and trim and install carpet for me..

Quoted me $500 for all. I think it sounds like a good deal... thoughts?

He has a very good rep and I have seen some of his work and its top
notch

$500 is a steal, especially nowadys. I would almost pay that much just for the vinyl top, and the headliner is a biatch also...

hes coming to you and doing that all? Yes thats a steal! I would CYA and get things in writing. We took a car to get top put on it years ago. 20 miles round trip to drop off then go back and pick it up. Cost us $350.00. Headliner to get done cost us $200 plus about same mileage with 2 trips back and fourth.

Did you use a gun??? That is cheap, my Canopy top was done at my buddies shop when the car was painted and that was $450. Having the headliner done at the other shop the car is now at and that is $275. Rug is easy but a few hours work for me to do so your making out great.

Sounds fair to me, after you do a few of them, it's not hard work at all... v-tops can be a pain, but headliners and carpets are easy.
