Door jamb striker restore

Any tips on the correct finish of the door jamb striker (71 Duster)

Here's an E-body striker. My 68 A-body striker is a little different. I'm not sure if the plating is the same on all of them or not. I just had my Challenger(and Dart) strikers clear zinc plated with the rest of the fasteners...not "correct" but they look much better then being painted body color.

Not 100% sure but I 'think' A and E body share the same striker .

Pretty sure on OE , its Yellow zinc dichromate on the bolt and washer, clear zinc on the barrel.

I think the picture I posted is off of R/T Specialties website.

My Challenger striker uses a torx socket. My 68 Dart striker uses an allen socket.
