1969 Super BEE Front Grill - 02/11/15 07:19 AM

I am Restoring a 69 Bee and need a few close pictures or explanation of what piece go's just under the Front grill .
There is something missing on my car there are 2 tabs on my grill that seam to float in air and there is a space between the grill and the body grill spliter.
The spliter is the part that connects both fenders together under the grill. (not sure if that is the correct name for it)- But it has 5 bolt holes.
It would seam something would bolt the bottom of the front grill to the spliter, that is what is missing on my car.
Can someone post a picture or two of the Grill on a 69 bee?
Thank You.

Not a Bee but same idea. Do you have the correct lower tie bar? A 68 Coronet piece will bolt in but not be right, it is straight across the top instead of humped.

Yes I have a humped tie bar I was calling that the spliter lol.
I need a pic of the tie bar and how the grill mounts to the bar on the lower center section .
Mine is not bolted there at all only the top .

I made the same mistake with my car. Think i even still have to 68 piece around here someplace. I don't think they make them new, but wasn't too difficult to find used. There is an NOS one on ebay right now, search for 69 coronet lower grill .

I might pull the trigger on that ebay one but it looks like it has a bent in it. It will be some work to clean and straiten that thing out.

You might want to check some salvage places or used parts suppliers. I think ANY 69 coronet has this same piece--4 door included. I got one from Steve's used parts in Alma, Arkansas. He is a sponsor here and very reasonable.
