b-5 blue dart

next summer I'm having my dart painted b-5 blue base clear. I planned on painting the underneath and interior metal single stage. what should i use for the engine compartment and steel wheels, single stage or base clear. thanks for the input

Wouldn't the shine between base clear and single stage look different thus making it easy to see a difference in the colors ?

The color will probably be OFF a little too. I don't see a problem with single stage on the bottom but use the same paint in the engine compartment and in the trunk that you are going to use on the body.

If you didn't already know, these cars were never completely painted body color on the bottom side. If that's the look you want that's OK. They didn't come that way though.

I would paint them base clear. I wouldn't want any chance of a color mismatch.
