Code Cut Chrysler keys by 6bblGT - 11/29/14 02:34 AM

I bought a 1970 cuda' last summer that came with no ignition/door keys and had been struggling to find a Locksmith to make a new set of keys... Dan Pausch "6bblGT" advertised in the Moparts parts for sale section his ability to cut new keys just from a code... With his help I located the code on the ignition then $35 and a couple of days later I had keys

Thanks Dan

Sounds great, I'm in the same situation. Can you teach us how to remove the lock cylinder from the column without a key? Can Dan use a door lock cyl or truck lock cly be used to make a matching key? Thanks

he was also a life saver for me on my old 71 roadrunner. otherwise, I would have had to buy a whole new ignition lock set and they dont just give those away..

If that is your lock cylinder you might want to take that picture down, it would make a thiefs job awful easy.

You have to take the column apart down to the point that you can see the ignition cylinder

There is a small hole that you need to insert a pick or hard wire... Harbor Freight pick set

With the pick inserted you need to push this tab down and then push the cylinder out from the inside... If you don't get the tab pushed down far enough and try to push the cylinder out it will not clear the column... push the lock cylinder back in and try again

Great to know. I never knew the code would be on the cylinder. I'm saving this thread
