1969 2-door & 4-door trunks/rails the same? - 08/28/14 08:10 PM

I have a 69 satellite I'm collecting a few parts for. I was just offered a rear chunk off another car but it's a 4-door. Would the trunk pan, rear frame rails and other assorted parts be the same as a 2-door? I should know this but I'm drawing a blank. Thanks for any input!

Like John says not all 1969 B Bodies are created equal. When my friend that is on this board was restoring his 1969 Super Bee he came up against these things. But any rust free pieces that you can save some place and its is free, do it. There are difference like John said between 4 doors and 2 doors and Plymouths and Dodges. One person like Furyman on this board could tell you all the diffences between all the B Bodies in 1969, his business to know the differences and this is were my friend got his used sheet metal for the car.

Frames and pans are the same.
Boxes that spring perch hangs from is different between Dodge and Plymouth.
Inner wheel houses are the same between Dodge and Plymouth and 4-dr and 2-dr. Outer wheel houses are the same between Plymouth 2-dr and 4-dr but are different than Dodge. Also Dodge outers are different between 2-dr and 4-dr un-like Plymouth.
Also rear cross member is probably different. 68 has a round hole for the fuel tank filler tube and 69 is probably oval.
