coil transfers: ECS product.. Dave???? - 06/21/14 02:27 PM

Hey guys.
Just got my coil transfer for the Daytona. Meant to ask Tom at ECS, but forgot. Since I bought one transfer and don't wanna screw it up, has anyone already done this and how difficult/easy is it. Would like to feed off some of your experiences before I start peeling back the paper to install it on my black MSD Blaster coil. Dave, you out there?

Cheers,
Troy

This video may help. My screw-ups with the dry transfer rubs taught me a couple of things; do not over heat the dry transfer, and make sure you remove the protective film before heating, lol.

I've had to use one on one of our cars (think it was the challenger) and it went on no problems. Make sure that the paint on the coil (if you repainted it) has dried long enough to let all of the outgassing from the paint expel. Otherwise you could run into problems with the transfer sticking. I have personally not had that happen but have read on other threads about that happening. So far I have yet to have any problems with any of the transfers that ECS sells.

Did it yesterday and as Dave's video showed, it was real easy... Here's what I did to the MSD Blaster coil for my MSD-6A system I have on the Daytona.
