I picked up a 67 sport fury convertible 383 commando, 4 speed with a sure grip for the 4 speed parts, but looking up the numbers I figured I'd ask the masses on an opinion of try to save it or part it out. It's rough, but only missing the carb, front seats, and console parts. It would need a lot- new sub frame, floor pans, fenders, quarters, trunk repair- basically a lot of rust repair. The convertible stuff is all there including the bright work which is really nice. Just soul searching if parting it out is the right decision

I have only seen one other 1967 Plymouth Fury Conv. that had a 440 and a 4 speed the guy that own it found it in a garage been there for 30 years said it was org.from the factory.
So I am not sure but you might have a rare car.I am sure someone here will know.

Sounds like it's beyond saving, rare as they are.
Parting it out would be a shame.
The best (and most proper, in my opinion) use would be to take a nice 'vert and use all the 4 speed parts to make a nice 4 speed 'vert. Plenty of people out there want a nice 4 speed 'vert. Trying to salvage your car will end up in disaster and serve no one, nor will parting it out so that the 4 speed parts end up in a hacked B-body do anybody any good as well.

Does anyone know what the four speed production numbers were for the convertibles? I found a little info on 68's, but other than overall info not a whole lot on details for 67's. Does anyone have pics of a 4 speed c body console for one of these?
I appreciate the info and input. I have access to most parts and am leaning towards trying to figure out a way to at least get it to driver status, especially if it truly is a rare car.

Plenty of good subframes out there, they do unbolt so you could restore the complete subframe and drivetrain then bolt it back in! I have been looking for 4-speed parts for quite awhile now, let me know if you part it out...

There a guy named Ritchie who lives in NJ that has mulipule 67 Fury verts. He used to be a memebr here. not sure about his Moparts name though. Been years since I last talked with him. That car is worth restoring.
How are the tail lights?

This whole adventure got started by looking for c body 4 speed parts because I wanted to make one of my 66 300 cars a four speed. The parts are not the easiest to find....
The tail light on one side is broken, the other is good. I've lined up a 67 4 door parts car and have a lead on a 67/68 2 door console car from an acquaintance friend that is getting pics for me.
Will the general service stuff all interchange on the 4 speeds? I remember buying a kit for my dads roadrunner years back and assume it would work. What about the consoles? If I remember right 66 c body cars shared with the b body cars. Anyone know about 67? Thanks for the help!

Well my whole plan was to get a complete c body 4 speed set up to be able to unbolt/ rebolt and just cut/ rewrld the z-bar mount. Seemed like an easy plan until I tried to find one, and then when I finally do it has to be in what seems to be a rare car. I have a couple 66 300's, a 66 T&C, a 66 Satellite, and now a 67 Sport Fury Convertible 4 speed to build. Are there any stats on the number of 4 speed convertibles built? At least I've sourced a 4 dr 67 Fury, a 68 2 dr VIP, and a console shift 67/68 2 dr Fury for the project. Anyone have a 4 speed c body console pic or know if they're the same console as the 67 b body cars?

The console is the same.
If you need insight on how to make a manual brake pedal into a power version, PM me: it's not that hard if you obtain an auto trans power brake pedal.
I do recommend getting the correct c body hump- but 24 years ago they were not available, yet somehow at a young age I was easily able to use a b body one without much issue, and it is still in place today and looks proper- So it CAN be done.
For the frame bracket- if you want to get by without removing the fender or pulling the motor- you can take a piece of 2" angle iron, weld the bracket to the iron and then bolt the angle iron to the frame. There is the ability to fasten the angle to the vertical side of the stub frame: my converted 1967 Newport has been set up as such since 1990 and works fine. PM if you want pictures of how it is mounted.
