Wiring Harness - 03/13/14 08:37 PM

I am replacing a 318 in a 69 B Body with a 440. Year one shows a different wiring harness for a 318 vs a 383/440. Anybody know the difference? If I wanted to purchase all new wiring harnesses for under the hood including the forward light harness, engine harness, and A/C harness, who gives the best deal? is there a packagage available instead of buying all 3 pieces individually? also, what do you call the plastic plugs on the inner fenders that the wiring harness snaps into? does anybody reproduce them?

Year One has the best harness, or maybe Frank Baldason, they may be from the same vender. Don't buy from Evans though. Really, please don't say you don't know the difference between a 318, and 440.

The difference in the engine harness is the location of the coil wire. the 318 is in the rear of the engine while the big block one is in the front of the engine.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. I think I am just going to bite the bullet and order new harnesses as mine are brittle anyway and would prefer to not put crummy looking wiring under a freshly restore engine compartment.
