Sway Bar Brackets - 03/07/14 06:27 PM

I have a 69 Roadrunner that was an original drum brake car. I am converting to discs. I bought the spindles and calipers that I was told to buy. I now need to buy the brackets to weld on to my current lower control arms to be able to use a 1970 sway bar. Can anyone point me in the direction of where to buy these brackets? Also need to buy the sway bar as well. Anyone have a used one they want to sell?

Why ?

You can use the swaybar you have, just mount the calipers to the rear like the factory did .

You will need the brackets that the sway bar bushing brackets bolt to. They bolt to the k member. You should also check to make sure that your k member will accept the 70 model swaybar, I believe some of the earlier ones will not. just my

Do you have the right K frame ? 69 can have 2 different style K frames depending on when it was built during the model year , one will accept a 70 swaybar the other will not with you hacking huge holes in it .

I was going to ask Why again ... but nevermind ...

these are Hotchkis sway bar tabs I bought & welded on, they worked out great. Its on my 71, not sure how much different a sway bar setup is on a 70 but this what they are.

hope this helps.
