Hi!

I was wondering which would be the correct steel wheel part number for a 68 HEMI RR?

Also what size wheel would that be???

A 15x6 wheel stamped JK, hard to find and almost impossible to fake as the center has raised U's between lug holes

Reference picture...

I ended up with 8 of those rims trying to make a good set of 5. Two of the good ones came from Cass.

I sold a perfect matching set of 5 with all the same date code 7-8 years ago for $1200.00 my guess is now that same set would more than double that

Wow!!! They are expensive!!!

I think Im just gonna go with some repros from wheel vintiques....

After all my 68 HEMI car is gonna be wearing hub caps so those bumps on the center wont be seen....

It no longer has the original drive train so Im not gonna go nuts with this one spending 3k on wheels!!!!

Are the wheels off a 69 GTX the same? I have a set in the boxes ran less than 500 miles I got from a buddy. He bought a new GTX and there was a problem with wheels at the time and his came with plain rims. I haven't looked at them in years. Just wondering.

ON a 69 those should be H wheels....they would have an H under the hubcao beside the lug nut holes. Those are the same as the 69 1/2 six pack cars and are even worth more....

Just went in the shop attic and looked. 14 x 5.5 stamped JK and they have the raised U between the lug holes. If I remember right, there was a shortage because of a strike at a wheel plant and all he could get was steel wheels. Probably why they are 14s. He went straight from dealer to get a set of Americans.

1968-'69 Road Runner GTX Charger Super Bee Coronet R/T with 383/440-4bbl got 14x5.5" wheels (& F70-14 tires).

1968-'69 Road Runner GTX Charger Super Bee Coronet R/T with HEMI (& '69 A12) got 15x6.0" wheels (& F70-15 tires).

"The Few/The Proud" 1969 "RECALL" wheel b-bodies 383/440/HEMI were all 15x6.0" with F70-15 tires.

That's more of a "supply & demand" issue - both wheels are basically Chrysler Corp's. Heavy-Duty 15x6.0" plain steel wheel. There are simply more people looking for '69 "H" wheels than '68 "HEMI" wheels.

In '68 there were ~2200 HEMI cars (as well as others) that came from the factory with the "HEMI" wheels. In '69 there were ~1900 HEMI cars & ~3300 A12 cars (as well as others) that came from the factory with "H" wheels.
