70 challenger fromt swaybar - 12/07/13 03:08 PM

Hey guys,
Does the little bit of a turn up on the end on an e-body sway bar curve up or down? I can't really tell from the service manual.

Thanks,
Bob

Just ran out to the shop and looked at our 70 Challenger...it curves upward

rule of thumb to remember, the front bar installs "with a smile, not a frown" when trying to remember the bars orientation

That's an easy way to remember it

Are all bars on our Mopars like that? Its a cold walk to get to the shop and look under the b-bodies so thought I'd ask real quick before I burn it in my brain's archive

Radiatorman, have fun working on your Challenger...I hope you have heat

Is this written in stone somewhere?
Mine came apart frowning and it's the way I put it back in.
Perhaps wrong from the factory but it will stay that way on my car.

My original 70 T/A came with a frown

The plot thickens...... I wonder if it is a T/A thing. Mine is just a 340 4spd car.

Installing mine this morning so I referenced this thread, then I looked at the 2,000 mile hemi cuda and it is frowning too, so mine is going back pissed off.

For the record my 69 R/T and 68 RR are both frowning and I am 99.9% positive they have never been off.

Is this still the consensus

Angle down or frowning

And I would assume same for B Bodies

Thanx Scott
