Woodgrain steering wheel restoration - 11/01/13 05:30 PM
Ok, I am ready to send my 69 B body woodgrain steering wheel out for restoration, but I have a few things I would like to find out before it leaves.
- Who can properly restore the center spokes on these wheels? The matte chrome finish is what I want, not sliver paint.
-Who recreates the woodgrain most accurately?
- What does a restoration typically cost for a woodgrain wheel starting out in good driver quality condition? i.e, one hairline crack on the backside, some light pitting on the spokes and no loose metal band on the grip.
Who do you guys suggest for this and is there a board member who can fit the bill for this kind of work?
