Where to buy bolts for 1969 B Body exhaust tip hangers?

I recently purchased exhaust tip hangers for my Plymouth from RT Specialties and didn't realize that the hangers didn't come with the bolts to mount them to the frame. What size, or type of bolts would I need? Also could I find bolts at a hardware supply store or do I need to purchase from an online vendor to get the correct bolt?

Man unless you are doing a 100 point resto just use some regular hardware store bolts.


From what i remember on mine there are nuts welded into the frame for the hangers anyway.

I have screw holes for where the exhaust tip hangers are supposed to be mounted. I'll check some hardware stores for the bolts. Thanks very much for the reply.

The bolts are the same as the rear bumper bracket bolts (7/16").Not the chrome bumper bolts (3/8"). tap the holes or thread chase them first to clean them!

Don't over tighten them or you could break the spotwelded nut lose....and that's a problem!Here's the bolt. The tip bolts may actually have an "N" on the head but they are the same size and washer as the ones with the number 38
