Cuda gas filler tube - 09/03/13 07:26 PM
Has anyone had any luck with "tinning" these tubes to get a somewhat factory looking finish? I have sweated plenty of pipes. I tried a quick test on a piece of steel tube the other day using flux and silver solder. Didn't work well. I don't couldn't get the piece of tube hot enough for the solder to flow.
Anyone?
thanks

There is a guy who restores them. I think his prices are reasonable too.

Allen Wilson,
http://www.n96airgrabber.com/fillertube.htmI think price varies by size of tube. My 69 A body was $60 plus freight 2 ways. Looks like new.
