72 Cuda rear valence brackets - 08/04/13 03:16 AM

OK, one project is finished. I just replace the springs and detailed the rearend. I have to leave the valence off for a little while because I am missing one of the clips and will order a package shortly from R/T Specialties.

The question that I have is this. Am I supposed to have brackets for the center of the valence? I know that this has been discussed before but I can't remember the answer. If so how do they mount?

Here is a picture of what AMD offers:

Thanks

edit: My bad. The picture is of the brackets that mount just behind the bumper. Those are installed on my car. I was thinking that there might be a support that mount from behind the bumper down to the bottom-center of the valence.

My 74 was an original untouched car, I did not find any bracket in that place.

Not sure if '70 brackets are the same, but nice pics of them are found here: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...;gonew=1#UNREAD

if I remember right...70 has its own brackets, they are longer than the ones shown..71-up has a reinforcement welded to the valance to support it once it is mounted to the body
