Speedo cable - 04/20/13 03:22 PM

I have a 65 Coronet, /6, 3sp. and don't know where to connect the drive end of the speedo cable. Can someone post some pics to show where it connects and where it is routed and anchored. The car did not have a speedo cable when I got it. The cable ends have female fittings and where I thought the cable went on the trans also has female threads. I need help.
Thanks

The transmission should have a smooth hole where the end of the cable pushes in. The bottom end of the cable will look like the pic below.

Where does the cable push in? I have obviously been looking in the wrong place.

It plugs in behind the mount pad on the drivers side. Orange line) There is a small threaded hole next to it for a bolt that holds a retainer for the cable housing.

Thanks for the pix, that helped a lot. Now I find that I need the pinion gear.
