black out on cowl on 70 challenger - 03/24/13 03:11 AM
Hey guys, painting the firewall on my a66 challenger and I noticed that a section of the firewall is black. It goes from the master cyl down across the steering column over almost to the trans tunnel. It is only on the drivers side. It appears to be originally as it goes behind the master cyl mount . It is also blacked out by Cowl screens. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
Jim

This car is July of 70. Hamtrack built , just seems odd that it is only on the drivers side and it is all around the components, etc. Want to make it right while the engine is out.

There is an original paint T/A that shows up at Carlisle every once in a while, lots of black in the engine bay. (dark green car) But it is the primer, the body color was poorly applied on it, some areas were missed completely & just over spray on others.

I have a B5 70 Challenger Conv that has some "extra blackout" on the vertical portion of the cowl. Very haphazard.
