71-74 B Body vs 71-74 E Body Parts interchange

Could someone school me on the inter-change of body panels on these two platforms? A local yard has some 73-74 Satellites with decent body panels still available but no E body parts cars. For my 71 Cuda project I need floor panels, firewall, cowl side inner and outer hinge panels, front frame rails, and inner roof structure pieces.

I recall reading somewhere that possibly the front rails and front inner fenders were the same but I have no proof of that. I'm sure someone on here knows specifically what if anything interchanges. Or maybe someone knows a link to an interchange listing.

I know the frame rails and inner fenders are the same, 70-74 e to 71-72 b. I have a complete 71 b body front from the torsion bar cross member to the radiator support and it sure looks the same as a 71 e-body, other than cowl top and windshield frame. The front floor section will swap. I do not know about later mid 72 and up b-bodies, but would bet they are not the same, after the isolated k-frame.

So since these are 73-74 doesn't sound like they would yield any usable pieces for my project. Guess I will keep looking.

Very little from the 73/4B will fit your 71E. 71/2B will have alot of front end interchange.
Cowl, non-a/c firewall, hinge jams are different.
Ft floor pan, a/c firewall, t-bar cross member, front frame rails, inner wells, and radiator support will interchange.
Also K-frame, suspension and a/c heater box are the same.

Pretty much everyone is on track. Forget about the 73-74, a completely different animal. 71-72 Rad suport yes, front floors are very simular and would work, not all the way back (although the tunnel would need a little work), yes to the frame rails. The cowl and fire wall different, hinges different, anything behind that; forget about it, and of course no to the hood. The inner fenders are very close, although some of the dimpling and or holes are not all in the same places. Glass, regs and tracks all different. So all in all only a few items will work.

That's why I come here first before I buy.

Front floor pan and inner fenders are so close that they have the same part # between B and E.
A/C firewalls are the same but non-A/C walls are different.

What about the possibility of a 71 E body A pillar fitting on a 71 B body car? Is there a difference?
