216 HD Fans - Inked vs Embossed?

What's the difference between the 216 Heavy Duty fans where the part nubmer is inked on the blade versus embossed on the blade?

Did it change over the years?
Is it a difference in manufacturer?

My 69 A12 Runner has it stamped into the metal, not painted. It's the original part.

Just curious:
Does the 216 stamp look more like 215?

I have only seen 216 stamped (embossed) into the metal, but I have two 215 ink stamped fans.

Agreed.....I have one of each in my shop right now and can not see a noticeable difference outside of the part number ID.

Can someone please explain to me how the heck these 216/215 fans with seven non-equally spaced fan blades or a non-symmetrical layout CAN BE BALANCED???

See those four little round holes that are in the arms that the blades attach to !
