69-1/2 A-12 Runner Hood Pin Bezel Mounting - 11/15/08 02:32 PM
I am building a clone, and have an original fiberglass hood. I understand the bezel holes are front to back, and side to side in 69, with the lanyard screwed to the inside hole. Are the other three holes screwed or riveted? I bought a kit and got 4 rivets and one screw per bezel, but I found some reference material suggesting 4 screws.
Thanks!

I also have the 6" lanyards that came with the kit. One end has a larger diameter "donut" on it, and each end has the same sized hole. Does the larger diameter end go under the rivet, with the other attaching the pins? This would seem to make more sense and look better, but not sure.
Thanks for the scoop!

The larger eyelet should have a larger hole for the "hairpin" clip. The smaller eyelet is for the rivet at the bezel. (Not a good repo lanyard if this is the case IMO).

Just what I needed. Thanks!
The smaller one will go under the rivet. In the orig. pic., it shows the lanyard facing away from the pin, whereas the top pic. shows it facing the pin. I'll go with away from.
Regarding the eyelet, my other end is big enough for the pin, to be mounted per the top pic.
My kit is from YO, and the pins are for horizontal mounting (incorrect), and not vertical as shown in all the pics. which must be correct.
Thanks again!
