Quick 68-70 B body post/hardtop/sedan question

Quick 68-70 B body post/hardtop/sedan question - 08/23/12 09:22 PM

Did all 68-70 B bodies come in post and hardtop versions? OR was there a model, like 68-70 Coronets, that just came in post (post meaning a b pillar and pop out rear windows).

Sedans are a whole nother animal. I know sedans as a 2 or 4 door with a frame around the door glass. Think some people mix up the sedan/post/coupe as the same. I know one of the weatherstrip companies admitted they don't have a firm handle on the terminology.

All Coronet 500, R/T's and Sport satellite, GTX's were hardtops, all 68 Bee's were coupe's, all Belvedere and early 68 RR's were coupe's all others could be had either way. Think that covers it.

Don't forget Charger, Hardtop only.

Also note that the pop out glass insert ... frame , gasket , glass ... is different between Dodge and Plymouth.

Re: Quick 68-70 B body post/hardtop/sedan question - 08/23/12 10:15 PM

None of the Mopar '68-'70 b-body 2 door b-pillar sedans (21 style - post coupe/sedan/coupe) have a frame around the door glass.

The terminology lost it's meaning when advertisment/marketing came into play to position a specific car in a certain price market.

There is no global definition for "coupe, sedan, roadster, etc.".
