Were most '69 B-body Hemi cars built during Dec Jan Feb - 08/20/12 11:53 PM

Why does it seem (to me at least) that a lot if not most of the '69 B-body Hemi engine cars have an Scheduled Production Date (SPD) between late December '68 and Jan, Feb of '69. What's the earliest and latest build Hemi B-body cars during the '69 model year or the other years for that matter?

a quick count 171 HEMI cars Sept. thru June '69
Sept - 7
Oct - 15
Nov - 18
Dec - 20
Jan - 25
Feb - 5
Mar - 14
Apr - 15
May - 21
June - 31

the high May/June numbers are due to the (amount of available info &) late builds of the Daytonas

I do not recall the exact date, but our 69 Road Runner was pushing the second week in July.

St. Louis Assembly Plant Retired Employees Reunion


When asked about the order of the cars coming down the assembly line James told us: "You might have two or three [Hemi cars]
in a row, might have two or three in an hour, and some days you might only get one for the whole day. It all depends on what they
ordered-that's the way we got them. Trim was supposed to mix up the models of cars so we didn't have two in a row. Running two big
high-performance Hemis or 440s, Sixpacks-running a couple of those in a row just tore the line up. You weren't set for manpower to run
them like that.

earliest '69 Hemi Charger I have registered is 8/21/68 (C500) & latest is 6/20/69

Thats OK Mike, I wish I could have got that car on trade for my black a12 I sold Ed. That would have been nice!

Correct the 4 speed car. The black auto used to be owned by another guy here in Michigan before Ed had it.
