Semi-Correct Master Cylinder for 70 E-Body with PDB - 08/12/12 05:43 PM

According to earlier posts I've read in this section, the one and only correct master cylinder for 70 e-body disc brake cars is the 2229171 casting, which is apparently nearly impossible to find.

Are there any other options out there that are semi-correct for this application? I'm not looking for concourse correct, just something reasonably close to correct that won't break the bank.

I see that Bill Allphin has one listed for 1970 B and E body cars (Part No. 38263). Would this past muster? Any other options out there?

Thanks

try this guy ..

I purchased a 71 style master from him for my 1970 Challenger.
VERY fair price and the greatest guy to work with.

I used these... I'll get a picture of it in a bit.
All my repo lines for PDB fit.

I have used this one on a few cars it looks similar to the original for a reasonable price. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=309076

Thanks for all the replies. I did a search on the Raybestos 36283 number and came up with a bunch of hits recommending this as a good "close to correct" option. I'm going to go that route.

I have dealt with Wayne at Ramman, and he is a stand up guy.
He knows his stuff!
