Question about Cuda VIN

Question about Cuda VIN - 10/31/08 03:51 AM

I never ran the VIN of my Cuda until this evening and came up with something interesting.

The VIN is BS23HOEXXXXXX, I looked at the engine and it has the same VIN on it. When I ran this VIN in a decoder, it came back that it came with a special order slant 6. Is this common for the VIN to be wrong about the engine

Online decoders suck, if that is what you used.

What ever VIN decoder you checked is wrong...
B = Barracuda
S = Special (Makes it a Cuda)
23 = 2 door hardtop
H = 340-4
0 = 1970
E = Built at Los Angles plant...

Post the codes on your fender tag...

Thanks much, I wish it was still there, the original owner removed it before I bought it, and I looked for the broadcast sheet and it was not there.

Do you happen to know JUlie Jordan who lives in your home town?

Don't really know her, I talked to her some, her son Jarred, her brother & mostly her dad...Along with Don Little & Steve Wann...

BTW You should register your Cuda with Barry Washington or at least check his website, he may have info on your car or even your buildsheet..
