What is the size of the opening that hooks to pipe. And the correct size of exhaust pipe. Thanks Pics would be nice

Are you referring to the hole where it fits into the tailpipe or the oval exit opening? The tailpipe end should fit a 2.25" I.D. The exhaust tips fit into the tailpipe.. Is this what you're getting at?

B/E&A has them and the hangers have about a 1" wide by 1/4" - 3/8" slot for lack of a better term

The hangers....look on the side for the slot: Have them on my '69 GTX

The B/E&A tips are 2.5" (2-1/2") not 2-1/4"

I see many vendors carry these repo tips; some chrome, others polished stainless. Chrome 2 1/4" inlets, Stainless 2 1/2" inlets, etc.

My questions - Are they all from the same source or not? Are they all of the same quality or not? Is one vendor a better place to buy or?

there is or was numerous venders making tips. some steel - some stainless

OEM was 2.25" inlet but aftermkt was avail all the way to 3" inlet
