Full VIN on engine block? - 01/19/12 05:33 PM
I just picked up a motor for my roadrunner, and I have never seen this. It is from the B Hamtrack plant but it has the full vin of the car it came out of (charger). Has anyone seen that before? Maybe I've never payed that much attention but I have never seen with whole vin number. Another question, so did the transmissions come with the full VIN as well on these cars? Seems a bit odd but I cant imagine the transmission getting the entire vin either. Or is this an obvious restamp? I dont really care in the end since its not my original motor and I plan on running the crap out of it.

I have had 2 69 383 HP Road Runner engines with the full Vin on them. I have a 69 440 HP in the garage now with a full GTX Vin on it. I posted both 383's on the lost section here and had no takers. Cars must be long gone! I rebuilt one and put in a 69 RR I sold. The other we just sold with another 69 RR. At least they are in 69 Road Runners. The 440 in my garage we took it out of a Charger in 1984. It belongs to a friend of mine who is keeping it for a spare. I had a 440 HP out of a Charger once with the full Vin also. All were 1969's.
