Re: Hemi Owners Registry - 08/28/03 10:24 PM
Here is a link to my photos of my 1966 HP2 Satellite. It was orginally ordered in Dark Green Metallic with a Black interior, 426 Hemi, 4-speed, Dana-60 and little else. It was built on Dec. 15, 1965 according to the orginal fender tag (rubbing is included in the photos). The car was first found by a friend in a Kansas junkyard missing the door VIN tag. He purchased it, stored it for a few years and then traded it to me. The car will be restored, but the way it will be done depends upon whether or not the orginal VIN tag can be found. The stamping on the underneath of the radiator support is: RICI502207. I think that the second character is actually a P due to a light stamp mark, which would correspond to the info on the fender tag. I have resently obtained an orginal copy of the 1966 Hemi Owner's Manual for the car along with other trim parts. The car was raced at one time, as the rear quarter fenderwells have been cut in an attempt to tub the rear (which was never finished). Does anyone know how many HP2s were produced and/or exist like mine and which assembly line was mine made at?

Re: Hemi Owners Registry - 03/26/06 04:43 PM
I'm in the process of building a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere 1 2dr post Hemi car. I'm doing a rotisserie restoration on a very solid body. I bought a car that was being built as a strip only car, so I've had to do lot of additional work since I want an original looking car. I had to remove the 10pt cage, ladder bar cross members, and all the frame tie bars, since they were tied into the floor. I'm re-tying the front to rear frames, but under the floor pans. I'm using a 528 FHO engine with a 727 and a Dana 60 w/3:54 gears. I'm not making a 990 clone but a stock looking Bel 1 with a bench seat and a Hemi.

Hi Greg;Yur doin a great thing bringing back the NHOA.I haven't seen an original Hemi Dart here yet so I guess I'll add it to the list. This car is the #7 car to come out of Hurst LO23M8B.I also have a 70 Hemicuda since 1976 BS23R0B.Iwas a member of the original NHOA back then when the decal of the elfunt was going to the left instead of to the right.Anyway ,the 'cuda is a FC7,4 spd,4:10 car with 2 tags including white leather guts.I have all tags,2 broadcast sheets(x2),& it's history to day 1.It's also a #s car front to back with all it's original sheetmetal. The interior has never been touched.I got married in it,& both my kids grew up in the backseat of this thing.I've decided to give it a full on,well deserved restoration because it's starting to show it's age(alot like it's owner).

Re: Hemi Owners Registry - 01/27/09 10:19 PM
here's mine. 9k miles now, had its original motor moved to a 70 duster that sat for a long time(could not get to steer, so it sat).
4k mile original motor reunited with car (was freshened-balanced by wayne county speed shop back in 70, original bore).
kept garage space with another hemi, an afx car: kentucky colonel, the second owner of the car.
would never sell this car, it is too much fun to drive, zero rust, and belongs on woodward avenue as a distraction.
door still not fitting perfect, just like when it was new.
original owner was a ronnie sox fan and brought this car all over to race.

I posted pics of my '36 Truck in the streetrod section and found out how many jellous haters there are on here. What's that about?
ALL of my Hemi's (except the F8 Cuda) were saved from certain death by the crusher. If you don't like cars that were brought back from the brink, you won't like mine.

Not lurking but just stumbled upon this discussion.
I used to be a member of the NHOA (back in 1989) and my name appears in the '89 VIN list that was printed in the monthly rag back then. I was 24 and ended up selling the car when my son was born (we were "under-insured at the time). Now he's almost 21 and I wonder if it was a fair trade. LOL!
Funny story - I went to the NHOA eastern meet in Roanoke Va back in '89 and the lady at the desk asked me if I knew anything about these cars. I replied "Yes, in fact I own one!". She was quite surprised but after seeing my name on the list, she welcomed me to the show like I was her own child. (Damn that baby face of mine). :-)
Yes, I'd love to be able to get my '69 Hemi Road Runner back..... H#ll, I'd like to get ALL my old Mopars back!

Re: Hemi Owners Registry - 05/04/16 04:25 AM
Hopefully I can light this thread back up.
Ive been searching for a 69 hemi road runner my father owned from Winter of 69 to 72.
White w/hood stripes, automatic, post coupe, 99% sure it had a Dana and it was driven from NY to FL before he built a full fledged race car out of it, so I would assume it had 3:54's, Black interior, bench seat, column shift. I have a bunch of pics. To my knowledge there were only 2 white hemi post coupes, one had a blue interior and has been in Calif since new, the other would be my fathers car. In 2007ish I found what I have to assume waas the car on ebay. I spoke with the seller and he told me he knew it came from NY, it was sold at a bank auction (which is where my father bought it with 51 miles on the clock for $1400!) and he knew it was a race car for a while and described some fairly specific modifications that my father had done to the car. Any way I lost touch with the owner and being of limited means I didnt have the $127,000 to outbid whom ever on the car. So it had what appeared to be a 100 point resto and was in the Michigan area. I tracked down a name (I feel it would be disrespectful to post on here) of a guy who passed away in 2013 who could have been the last owner of the car. I made an attempt to contact the family, but that was a few years ago and I would understand not wanting to talk to a stranger about a recently deceased relative. Anyway...... Does anyone on here know anything about Mopar clubs In state of Michigan or any out of the box ideas on tracking this thing down. I could never explain the sentimental value behind this or what it would mean to me to track it down. Given the rarity of this car and the fact that im 99% sure its been restored, someone knows where the car is. I understand no one on this site owes me anything, but Ive been a diehard mopar guy my whole life and its always been a very friendly community. Stumbling across the pics of that car undoubtedly shaped the person that I am today. I NEED to find this car, given the market feel off a little, who knows, maybe somehow purchase it. Again, if anyone thinks they can help in any way, the smallest thing may send me in the right direction, I will be greatly indebted. Thank you for reading, hope to see something on this thread!
Also can someone explain how to attach pics in posts?

Re: Hemi Owners Registry - 02/09/19 05:50 AM
Here’s one more- JS23 R0B157611 1970 Hemi Challenger. BL1 beige with tan interior 727 console, 4.10 Dana. Car is currently being restored. Engine going into the car is from a ‘69 RR RM21J9A170228. Would like to see this block reunited with the original car before it gets installed in mine. I’m also looking for the original block. Anyone know of another hemi e-Body in this color configuration?
