1970 plymouth B body wheel tire sizes - 10/09/08 07:58 PM
Just picked up a nice 70 satellite. White with FK5 interior. It desperately needs some more tire. I'd like some input on backspacing, largest rear tire I can get in there with stock suspension(except espo XHD + 1" springs). I'm looking at 15 or 17 inch wheels. Leaning towards torque thrusts with gray centers. Any pics of 70's with custom rims/fatty tires would be appreciated. Also if anyone has links to other similar posts please post them here. I tried searching a few times with no luck..I'll try to post a profile picture of car for any photo chop wizards. Thanks for the help guys/gals!

I guess it also depends on how tall the tire is too but from what I have seen 15 x 10 and 5 to 5.5 inch backspace centers the wheel. The max I seen is a 325/50r15 on that combo but it rubs a little on bumps. 295/50R15 is safer but is a short tire. Its been asked a lot and you can find it in the archives I think.

None here but I'll give you a bump, I remember a thread on this a long while back but I can't find it, I'd live to here some details from anyone running 15x10s

The one with the black top is running 17's in the front and back. The other is running 18's in the back.
