smoking after sitting ...

Not me ... my car. What is the most probable culprit ? If car is started every week or so it's fine, let it sit more than a month or so and it'll smoke for some time, I'm assuming valve stem seals.

Usually cracked or disintegrated valve seals, loose valve guides or a combination of both.
