Who else has a powermaster mini starter? - 10/30/11 09:10 PM

Ok guys ive had a powermaster mini started on my car for 7 years. When i put the motor in it was an absolute nightmare getting the wires hooked up because they are on top and to the inside. Well i got the motoe out and had the same stupid problem trying to get the wires off! Im running TTI headers also. Anyone else have the same problem trying to get the wires hooked up? I cant figure out ANY good way to do! Anyone figure out an easier way to do it?.............lol

attach the wires to starter before you bolt it in and if your removing it unbolt the starter first then disconnect the wires.

That's how I install/uninstall my mini starter.

I use a Power Master starter with TTI headers. But I removed the plastic adapter from the starter main battery cable stud. Mine fits with no problems and I can get the wires of with the starter hooked up. Ron

Just put in a PowerMaster clock-able starter in mine using TTI headers. I wired up a quick-connect and made the primary wires longer. Hook up the wires to the starter, then they run towards the back of the motor. I can reach through the header pipes and reach the solenoid, but it is a royal PITA! Now, I just wire the starter, running the wires back toward the rear of the engine and then connect the quick-connect. Super easy now. I got the connectors at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Jeff
