Lower Radiator Hose for Champion in Duster - 09/23/11 01:22 AM

Hey guys, I'm putting a 26" small block champion 3 core radiator in my 72 Duster with a 360 it has a right exiting water pump and right side lower hose conection on the radiator . Does anyone know what lower radiator hose will work with this setup. I bought a hose for a 74 Duster 360 (Dayco 70780) but it doesnt seem to be the right one. Anyone have a clue?

Hmm, when I converted my 72 Swinger from /6 to 360 I used the stock type V8 radiator and lower hose without issue, so what is not right about yours?

Seems a little long, and you have to bend it to get it to work. I went from a 318 to 360 but the car originally was a /6 so I'm not sure what radiator was in it. I think the one that was on the 318 would work but I sold the motor with it on and am not sure what application it was from seeing as the car was not stock.

Most hoses are not direct fit. Meaning, you sometimes have to trim them to fit. I found this to be the case more often than not. So mock it up, get a good idea of where you want it, and cut the part that's making it not fit off.
Good luck.

They are a bit of a trim to fit, even the so called direct fit hoses. Just trim a bit at a time cause you can't glue it back on once it's off.
