fitting a cordoba tilt column into a 71 charger - 09/06/11 09:20 PM

I recently saw frankendusters car and he had a tilt column out of a Cordoba installed. I want to put one of these into my 1971 superbee. Anyone have any luck modifying one for their mopar?

I may have neglected to mention......
The distance from the firewall where the column bolts down TO the underdash area where the column hangs is slightly different from the A body to the Cordoba. The Cordoba column is slightly longer. The plastic "breakaway capsules" do allow some fore and aft movement though, as they are slotted. The wiring is a mix of GM and Chrysler, but it connected to my Duster harness without mods. I had to use a flat faced steering wheel because the column is LONGER from the dash outward, and a dished steering wheel would make the car uncomfortable to drive for anyone that didn't have Pteradactal arms!
