Might want to post this up in the "trucks" section. Seems to me when I was looking for upgrades back when I owned my 95 the pickings were slim....and expensive. Not to mention the gains were slim at best.

I agree; VERY slim....not really worth it IMO. I remember 4x4 magazine did a bunch of hop ups on a TJ with a 4.0; chip, aftermarket exhaust, K&N, etc. etc.......net result 1 - 2 hp!!
They finally put a supercharger on it and that gave 'em 100hp.You can "chip" a diesel and get big power, but not a modern day gasser.

I'm using an SCT tuner on my PT cruiser turbo and picked up 20hp on the dyno. That ain't bad for a plug in tune on a 2.4 motor.

easy to pick up power on a turbo motor.....a 360; not so much.

I had a Hypertech for my '01 Ram. Useless. Hated it. In the 87 octane 'performance tune', I had to run 89 or it would ping.
My brother bought a SuperChips for his '01or '02 4.7 Dakota and loves it. Almost as much as the shift kit I put in for him.
