TQ Question - 09/29/08 06:43 PM
I'm rebuilding a TQ. Question is which rubber seal goes in the bottom of the plastic peice that keeps fuel from leaking into the intake? I have three different ones in the kit. One set has ribs on it another is a little thicker and no ribs and the third is an "O" ring. Which set should I use?

Anyone? I'd like to put this together tonight. Maybe I didn't explain it right?

I did not epoxy the wells, however I did fill them with WD 40 and let sit overnight and no signs of leakage.

This is a good thread and after reading it I realize I may have a TQ that has a leaking fuel well. What I notice is the engine is slightly fuel loaded on restarts after sitting for about 15 to 30 minutes. Also, the carb will be empty of fuel if I let sit for more than 2 days. I am gonna check it.
Thanks,
Roger

What type of epoxy do you use on these?

I've used JB Weld for years with good results, I use a dremel with a small burr to expose clean material then mix up the JB Weld & apply a thin coating completely around the well...

Well, I put it together and it works good. All I have to do now is adjust the air valve. I had the same symtoms described above and now cold or hot all I do is touch the key and it starts with no choke.
