when i turn my key on i get one spark and when i turn key off i get one spark..change ignition switch no help noticed coil getting hot so i changed it car started right up tryed couple times and same thing coil hot and only one spark again,,,,an ideas?

does coil fail,try checking ballast to see correct ohms resistance ,starter relay is it good.

put new coil and ballist on today ran for about 2 minutes then shut off and ballist smoked

Some new ballasts will smoke when 1st fired up. I would space it away from flush w the firewall. See if it'll start tomorrow
