what I meant was,If a $5 brake part goes bad you replace it,not fix it. The axle housing has a vent that will weep a little. It doesn't need fixing,it is supposed to do that. Just make sure if it is brake fluid or not first.

The vent is just a HOLLOW bolt , though it could be leaking past the threads , pull it out , clean it , put some teflon pipe thread sealer on the threads and put it back. I second checking to make sure it's not the brake lines leaking at the block.

Also is the rear overfilled perhaps ?

I'll pull it and clean it. Not overfilled. Thanks

If you look, the cap on top is just a stamped steel part & easily taken off. Just pry it back enough at the bottom where it's crimped & pull it off. You'll see the top of the tube has a flair that keeps it in place with the crimp when it's on.

Just make sure it's clear inside. Nothing in there. If it get clogged it'll build up pressure in the rear & force fluid out somewhere you don't want.

I always clean them if I'm there just to make sure, too easy.

The vent cap is just that, a vent for the diff housing . It has nothing to do with the brake fluid / lines other than a holder for the the lines.
I would check and see whats dripping down over the housing before repairing anything. Just rotating the vent cap sometimes is enough to make sure its venting properly.
If its brake fluid , you may have a bad flare on the line, fitting could be cross-threaded or the brass block could have a hair line crack in it.
Once you determine the type of liquid on the housing then start to repair .
