How sharp a mopar nut are you, name these seats.... - 07/17/11 10:35 PM

My 74 RR needed a windshield, and used the inexpensive but not 100% correct modern replacement.

My choice was no interior, or a free 73 Satellite interior
Free is good.

(I cut the rear lower door panels to accomodate the seat belt retractors, and plan to stick an emblem over the uneeded rear window crank holes, and some emblem to replace the r/w/b front door panel emblems- call me cheap, but this car was for sale for months and about to get parted out or crushed, I saved it to make a budget driver, and you all know what a nice used or new repro RR interior costs)

I was lucky that I got a nice, usable center console and complete shifter, and even found the lock core under the ratty carpet. The rear ashtray was even jam packed with butts. The days of cars with two to four ashtrays stock from the factory is long over.

However, someone with a bench seat column shift had already snagged the bucket seats.

I THINK I know what these buckets came from,
but test your made ID skills...

If I am correct, the frame and foam is the same as for a RR, just different upholstery covers.

Headliner and dash have seen better days as well

ps- minus some of the grip, is what I have the tuff wheel?

They look like 70/71 E-body seats to me (with non original upholstery)

I'm aware of that Nacho (and actually there's 2 styles of 70-71 seat backs, one with a hinge cover built in, one with a sepperate pot metal hinge cover...1970 and early 71) but his pics aren't clear/close enough for me to see exactly what he's got there.

I think Cordoba is the correct (or close) answer ...... here is a pair from a '77 Charger SE.

no prizes.
thanks for the tip on the wheel,
any good material out there to repair?

I THOUGHT they were Cordoba seats from looking around and asking around, but am not sure if they are acutal RR seats that have been re-covered for a pimpin' blue ride before getting sprayed black at some point in the past.

the pattern looks Cordoba-ish, but the Cordoba seats I can get my eyes on have more extensive hinges/covers on the sides.

I'm glad you saved the car. Too many of these things are disappearing. Even a driver quality one like yours is good to see. Good luck with the project.

Thank you, I really appreciate that.

It may not be pretty, and obviously not getting the royal treatment,
but it is not getting crushed or parted out like it was going to after being a stalled project for years with the original owner's nephew, then for sale with no bites for months with the next owner.
