milled 915 - 07/08/11 07:48 PM
what is the least cc's you can get to by milling the 915 head
Quote:and expensive, i have a set that are just milled to clean they came in at 80cc, with valves that are not concaved i bet they would be right around 78cc
I have a set thats milled .060. I cant remember the ccs, but it has to be in the low 70s at least. Im sure you can take it down more, but milling the intake face and lining everything up begins to get tricky.

I've heard of some guys cutting .100-.120 off 452's to really cut their chambers down to size for use on smogger low-cr big blocks. The problems are like said, getting the intake and valley tray to line up, valvetrain geometry becomes an issue because you really need shorter pushrods by that point and lastly by that much milling the heads become very crack prone.

i wonder if there is a way to tell how much my heads were cut? trying to determine how much compression was gained, its matched with a TM7 intake
