Stock Edelbrock Valve Springs and MP 528 Cam - 05/24/11 03:10 PM

I have a 440 that the build is 5 years old, with stock ootb Eddy valve springs.

I have on the shelf a MP 528 that is finally going into the motor.

Will the eddy vs be alright for this cam?

No problem. You can use the stock Eddy springs with just about anything except roller up to around .570" or so. Then go up to a Comp 928 or equivilent.

If you figure in the valve lash for that cam, you're back down to around .500" or so anyway. I have used an MP 292/509 with Edelbrock heads and their stock springs with no problems whatsoever.
