dodge step side boxes

Did Dodge make a 8 foot step side box pickup in the 70's? I am looking at a parts truck and it looks like it has an 8 foot box on it. Will the rear stepside box fenders form a 8 foot bed work on a 6 foot bed?

As far as I know, the fenders are the same and will bolt onto most boxes.

all stepside fenders were the same from 53 till 82 , i took 2 off a 54 1 ton fargo for my 79 red express , only difference the old ones were way thicker

ok Thanks for the input guys. I just wanted to know before I went and bought them. The truck is a 79 with an 8 ft. stepside box and mine is a 80 with a 6 ft. stepside box.

a lot of the longbox stepsides were used by the Forest Servive and the military back then...

that would explain the forest service green color then!
