1970 C-Body lowback bucket seats? - 05/03/11 04:47 AM
Did Ma Mopar even make any lowback bucket seats, for a C-Body, without head rests, in 1970. Reason I ask, is that I have a set mounted in a 68 Fury wagon, without head rests, and zero provisions for any head rests. C-Body guys please chime in.

On Jan 1 1969 head restraints became MANDATORY, A 1970 model would have them. I had a set of buckets in my 69 bee that were from a 70 sport fury.

The seat back release mechanism for 1970, is 1970 only, and mounted toward the top of the seat back. I removed the hard plastic backs and even reaching up in there, couldn't locate any provisions for headrests. The seats also still have what appears to be the original two-tone green vinyl covers on em. I'll load a couple of pics in the morning. Thanks

I looked for a set for my Polara for a while.Settled on some 71 up high back buckets with a buddy seat.IT looks ok but I would rather have the low back.

Yeah, you msuclecar guys have to pay big bucks for a used manual 6-way seat, us C-guys can find a power unit for 1/10 the price!
