1970 superbee front bumpers

Trying to get my front bumpers back on. I cannot seem to get the 3 top tabs on each side to line up, nothing appears to be interfering. Anyone have experience putting these on?

Are you sliding them under the black plastic fillers on the bumper itself? It is tricky to get that upper support under that plastic on the car. I've had better luck assembling the whole assembly (bumpers, upper support, lower support, and grill brackets)on a bench and mounting it the the bumper brackets on the car. I will try to post some pictures if I can find them

I agree with Scott; it's usually better to put it all together first.

I struggled with mine until I realized the upper and lower supports were bent (another great e-bay purchase! - they are freshly powder coated and sitting in my metal scrap bin! )

You have had this one on before and know it's straight?

I took it apart 2 years ago, nothing seemed odd. Seems to be going together except for those 3 top bumper tabs on each side. I'll try one more time this weekend and then just take it all apart and put it together off the car.
