I use ABA clamps that have a smooth inside and flared edges so as not to cut into the hose.

Another way is Gates sells black plastic thermo wraps that you heat and they shrink to make the clamp. VERY clean looking.

Google: Baker Precision

My ABA clamps

The billet specialties ones are nice, but too darn expensive!! I'd have $200 in hose clamps under the hood!!

The summit T bar ones are a nice happy medium that won't look "parts house-ish"

I looked at the heatshrink style ones, but just don't trust that, just the old school gearhead in me resisting that!

I use heat shrink clamps on large diesel trucks. they work great. The hotter they get the tighter they seal. Never had one leak, but are a one time use.

I have a nifty little tool I picked up at a trade show for $10. Keep it in my toolbox in the trunk just in case a hose lets go anytime. I use stainless wire and double it over and its a perfect accent to the engine bay. Kinda looks factory but people will do a double take on it and ask how you did it.

Found a video for it too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrmyeeGfypg

Speedway Motors carries the heat shrink versions.

Dirt cheap too!

If you can get past the dog barking and the explanation of the mortgage meltdown, the guy shows you how to make a clamp.
