Jig for widening/narrowing wheels? - 04/19/11 12:48 AM
Would there be any market for one of these? The reason I ask is I have built one that works good and is easily setup and easy to measure with and all fits in a 2x2 space. I built it to narrow an old set of fenton wheels I had and will be using it to widen my steel wheels for the rear. It was easy to build and I think could make a great tool for budget mined people like me....What you think?

Nah, its easier to just by the shells and make any backspace you want.

I found shells there, but I don't think those will work with Mopar centers, which as I recall, are 12-1/4", not 12-5/8". I was able to buy shells local.

Who were you able to buy shells from? I'd like some 15 x 8 chrome shells.

A local wheel/chrome shop (Western Wheel in Fresno). I paid $35/each for 15x10 plain steel shells back in '01 or '02. They can be bought by the pallet, which I have considered. Not sure on the price, though.
