Hi guys
I need a wiring diagram for the tach only (no clock) in my '70 Super bee 6 wires total are coming out..

yes it is the factory tach,just like in the Charger, but without the clock, but someone messed with the wiring under the dash before me, now I have to reconnect it.......

6 wires? arre you sure they are all for the tach?

Live and learn.
I never knew they made a tach that was not a tic toc tac for 68 to 70 b-bodies. Except for the little one that were used on plymouths (standard dash not ralley)in place of the clock.

I have one for sale with the clock, and needs a dash pad but,
it's a 68 so it has the key switch.

That tach looks different than the other gauges in the dash.
Cleaner and the numbers are much smaller, that came from the factory?
It'll look good with a little cleaning.

That is not a factory tach. Looks like a neat job installing an aftermarket by someone.

not factory- just a nice fit as stated

factory tachs usually on have 3 connections

switched + 12 volts
ground
- pulses from coil

dash pod provides nighttime light.

now after market types ususally have 4 wires for all four above- but six????

there will be a manufactures name somewhere on it- find and google it- you might find what the other two wires.

I don't pretend to know everything about '70 'Bees but I have spent the last 5 years researching them and I currently have 4 '70 rallye clusters on the shelf and probably looked at all for sale on e-bay for several years.......never seen a tach like that. I'd give it a 99% chance of being aftermarket.

All the tachs in the "rallye" instrument cluster had a clock. Now, there was a hood-mounted tach... Not too many of those around for good reason... Yuck...

Oh yeah; I forgot about the hood mounted one....

All the clusters I've seen have either;

- the delete plate: just a black plate with a white cross on it IIRC

- the clock (most common from what I've seen)

- the tic toc tach
