Aluminium Intake options with stock manifold locations - 04/09/11 03:40 PM
Specifically B Block
all these years I just have seen two intakes with stock locations for some stuff ( like coil )and they are Eddy 2186 ( Performer ) and Holley Street dominator
do you know about any other intake like these ?
whats the importance of these ? coil location is shared in some models to rear AC compressor bracket
if you know more, please post

Most of the aftermarket it appears to think , much like a certian member here that will remain nameless , they EVERYONE is going to be running a HOllEY carb with a dual feed so they were graious enough to move the coil location over for us.
There are very few manifolds with the stock coil location.

yeap, just saw also the Mopar M1, just the choke is diff ( earlier kind inside the crossover ) same as being square bore, will requiere an adaptor for TQ
Lot of manifold have the STOCK "LOCATION" but not the stock indexing, so rear Compressor bracket won't get the hole.
Bien more specific then... also being SPREADBORE if posible LOL ( laters choke mount is too much to ask LOL )

sorry, edited a little bit the post...
whatever, on lates at least and I think earliers too, the coil and rear AC compresor bracket shares a bolt, the front one
It can't be done on an old D4PB eddy intake for example

You sure about that? I just pulled the A/C setup off a a 67 383 b body and the rear compressor strut used an intake manifold bolt by the driver side exhaust crossover to support it.

He's correct, C bodies have the same bracket, gets left off with aftermarket manifolds.
