On a 340 when looking at the end with the 2 mounting holes in the bracket does the motor mount bracket go on the inside or outside of the ears on the block?

I think they will only go one way, if it is wrong there will be interference.

steel brackets always go to the rear of the ears...

Definately sits behind the ears I think it interferes on the passenger side for sure if you put them on the other way.

I guess you guys missed the other post about motor mounts, and their location,.....
Big or SmBlk motor mount brackets,....My former Boss, a retired Chrysler assy line supervisor would tell me stories of working on the line,....
When it came to training new hires to mounting the motor mount brackets properly,....he would say:
...So that you'll remember for the life of ya, when you mount the motor mount brackets on the engine, you want to put them just like where you'd put a womens ankles when you mount her,...behind the ears!
