Big Block Oil Pan Questions - 04/04/11 05:34 PM

I have a Mopar Big Block Oil Pan with the numbers " 971 " stamped on the rear, exterior part of the pan. Can anyone please tell me the actual Chrysler Part Number for this oil pan ? Also, I would like to know what year, size of engine and body size ( B, C or E ) that this oil pan came on.

Thanks MOPARTS...

wasn't that a C-body oil pan? it has the knotch in it that the A-body guys like, so it clears their suspension when they drop a big block into them?

There is no notch in the oil pan that I have. It is a center sump and judging from it's size, it would probably hold 4 to 5 quarts of oil, max.

Thanks for all of your input...
