flexible 2pc "problem solver" reverse band for 727? - 03/27/11 09:57 PM

I have a beater w150 i got for a yard truck. It has no reverse.

I dropped the pan and there is a peace of the LR band sitting in the pan.

Googling around I see references (on the h.a.m.b and some 4x4 sites) to this special band that NAPA sells/sold that let you replace the band with out taking the trans out.

Is there such a thing?

I have been in the trans business 25 years and have never seen 1 for the rear band.
they did have them for the front

No way for the rear band as that is a "rigid" style of band while most int are flex type bands. Yes, there was/is one available for the 2nd gear band, but I never used it.
